KiraJ. Has always been involved in the arts, whether as a visual artist providing large scale paintings for clubs or as a musician/composer/performer. As an avant garde musician she has recorded and performed in the US, Canada and the European continent under the name Kira Vollman. Kira Vollman is the name she also uses for her more provocative visual art. KiraJ. Is the persona she has taken on in order to exploit her strong sense of the non figurative art world.

Using scans of photographic (film) images, digital photography, paint, computer collage and manipulations KiraJ. Is able to create an entirely new world. Layers in one medium meet layers in another medium as she paints, draws and collages on top of the first generation of the image. Pieces keep changing, layers keep moving. Just as in life nothing stays still. While there are definite themes, there are myriad variations. Nothing is ever the same the next time around.
